From Fiber to Floor: The Journey of Quality

Every Exotica Rug is a testament to quality craftsmanship and ethical sourcing. We follow a meticulous, multi-step process to ensure that every rug we deliver is a masterpiece built to last.

Sourcing and preparing raw rug materials
01

Sourcing & Preparation

We ethically source the finest natural fibers—wool, cotton, jute, or silk. The fibers are meticulously hand-sorted, cleaned, and spun to achieve the perfect texture and tensile strength.

Yarn dyeing and color matching process
02

Dyeing & Color Matching

Our yarn is hand-dyed using eco-friendly, fade-resistant pigments. We ensure precise color matching, whether for vibrant custom orders or subtle, natural tones.

Artisan weaving a hand-knotted rug on a loom
03

Weaving & Knotting

The actual creation happens on the loom. Depending on the type (Hand-Knotted, Hand-Tufted, or Flat-Woven), our master artisans patiently knot or weave the rug, bringing the design to life.

Washing and finishing of a newly woven rug
04

Washing & Finishing

Once off the loom, the rug undergoes a thorough process of washing, sun-drying, and shaving (for pile rugs). This enhances the luster, softness, and definition of the design.

Final quality inspection and packaging of rug
05

Final Inspection & Dispatch

Every rug is subjected to a rigorous multi-point quality check for knot density, color consistency, and durability before being prepared for safe packaging and shipping.
